The Amsterdam Navigation Software Technology developer, TomTom has been chosen by Apple Inc (Nasdaq: AAPL) to replace Google Maps for its iPhone and iPad a day after Apple introduced its new MacBooks iOS 6.

TomTom's shares jumped 14% as a result.
