S & P 500 Declines 29%

According to Standard & Poor's report the second-quarter earnings for companies which are listed in the S&P 500 index were 29% lower than the previous year. This was the 4th declining quarter in a row for the companies in the index.

During the second quarter the Energy Sector have contributed 25% towards the operating earnings of the S & P 500, whereas the Financials have been the culprit for depreciating the index's components by %28.
